1/3 cup whole fresh cranberries 
1 cutie orange 
1 cup water
Ice

......whipped cream. (Oh yes I did!!! I skipped the fudge so.. I'm having whipped cream 😂)

I will Fight for spreading LOVE to the world.

I will FIGHT to live everyday to serve someone else.

Because that's what she would do. 

I've fought my way through depression.

I've fought my way through anxiety.

I've fought my way through an eating disorder. 

I can fight my way through grief. 

For her. 

One day.  

One workout 

One person to help at a time!

A Day In the Life of a Top Coach

I'm not always very BRAVE...unless I'm WILDLY passionate about something.
Like motherhood.....
And building a childhood for my kids full of growth, adventure, and love 
I'm FAR from a perfect mom. ‪#‎judgemenot‬
My anxiety and depression kept me from being the best mom for them A LOT of days.
It left me feeling inadequate, scared that I would mess them up, and afraid to fail....all the time.
Here's what I haven learned!
To be a mother...is to be in a constant state of personal growth. Just like your kids.
You don't have to be perfect...but you have to be there. To love. And you have to keep trying.
But I also had to learn that I had to show up for myself too!!!
I had to exercise.
I had to eat right.
I had to train myself to think happy thoughts.
I had to give myself the TOOLS to be the best version of me...so I could be a better mom for them.
We are growing together. That's what families do!!!
That...is why I'm so passionate about coaching!!!
All I do...everyday...day in and day out..
Is help other women empower themselves with the tools to be the BEST that they can be.
To stop beating themselves up for not being perfect 24/7.
To embrace THEMSELVES...and choose to grow!!!
Everyday I watch as they transform their lives...
Everyday I wake up knowing that today matters...because I'm going to show up for my family and for those I coach.
My husband says says I should brag more 😂😂😂(he's a proud husband )
So I'm gonna give it to you straight...
What has being a coach done for me??
It's allowed me to pay the entire down payment for our 23 acre farm in Oregon
It allowed me to bring Jeff home ...to be a dad...and a farmer.
It allows us to have every meal together..... everyday.
It's allows us to home school our kids as a team.
It allows us the freedom to take our kids to the beach or the zoo...whenever we want without worrying about work hours!!!
It gave us ....Family Freedom.
And....I have this team ....who LOVES and LIFTS eachother.
It's such a source of goodness in my life....I don't know how I get to really
Call this my my job!
So....the question is...how do I do it???
How do I juggle being a Top 50 ELITE BeachBody coach (2 years running) AND be a mom.
I will show you 
Sometimes I'm cute and done up...(mostly on video making days😂)
Sometimes I'm in my pajamas and muddy boots!! (Ok most of the time)
But I'm a wife and mom first....because I run entire business from home! (With my crappy Oregon country internet 😂)

Missy Meals: Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Cranberries

THIS RECIPE WILL BLOW YOUR MIND!! So delicious AND healthy!!

1. A coupble of sweet potatoes, diced
2. Cranberries halved 
3. 1 tbsp coconut oil
4. Sprinkle with nutmeg

Bake 375 for 30-35 minutes then broil for 5 to make them a tiny bit crispy!

Yes....it's the best, cleanest, most amazing food ever!!

You can add a little sea salt...

But leave off the marshmallows!!! This holiday recipes doesn't need it!!

Warning: make 2 pans... they go fast!

Our Sunday Tradition

This is becoming a Sunday tradition....winding down the Sabbath by walking the forest together!!!
Usually the goats all follow us these days!!
We collected leaves🍁🍃
We took more pictures of mushrooms for our project ..
We climbed mossy rocks... Goats included
We ran up and down the trails pretending we were In Indiana Jones 😂😂😂
We thanked God for our beautiful slice of this wonderful planet!!
Sigh.
It's the perfect end to Sunday. And it makes my heart sing!

True Friends

Tonight ...I am most grateful... for TRUE friends.
My husband always teases me that I have too many "best friends" and that you can only have one truly BEST friend.
If that's true...I will choose Jesus. 
My husbands ok with being 2nd 😂😂

But the truth is .... TRUE FRIENDS are a rare and precious gift.
Those in your life Who love you in all your splendid imperfections... Who see your strengths... and remind you of them when you feel weak. Who keep you humble... Because they know how stupid you were "that one time..." ‪#‎dontgetmestarted‬
Who would be there for you at a moments notice if you needed them.
And are also ...very truly...always there.. In every moment. ....Because they ARE a piece of your heart.
True Friends
Who laugh with you ...
Who cry with you....
Who defend you...
Who are honest with you....
Who ARE part of you....
I'm convinced I have the most amazing friends on earth .
They are ALL truly remarkable human beings ....
....full of goodness and love.
Each one of them has taught me something I couldn't have learned from someone else....
I thank God everyday for them....
And I'm so thankful for the chance I have to be part of their hearts as they are part of mine. ‪#‎luckyluckyme‬

Missy Motivation: Wake Up and DREAM

DO YOU STRUGGLE TO GET UP EARLY??? Want to know a secret?!! I DO TOO!

Who REALLY wants to get out of bed on a cold fall morning??? How do you do it?!! Have a PURPOSE!!!!

A Dream that you work for everyday that makes your HEART so warm, so happy, so excited...that that INTERNAL FLAME of that dream becomes warmer than your bed!!!

After my 4th baby I was severely depressed. I didn't want to get out of bed. My 1st grader was dragging me out of bed to get her to school everyday. One day I realized.... I HAD to SAVE MYSELF!!! I had to!!! MY FAMILY... My 4 kids...my husband.... They needed me to be stronger. And gosh dangit I wanted to FEEL HAPPY again.

So... I forced myself to get up and workout.


It was hard at first.

But the FIRE of belief in myself GREW!!!

I started to FEEL happier. Stronger.

I learned to be kinder to myself.

I learned that taking care of me was ESSENTIAL NOT SELFISH!!

I FOUND "Missy" again.

Now....3 years later....

I STILL get up early ((most days))

I STILL fight anxiety and Depression

But I know how to FUEL the FIRE

I get up to take care of ME

I get up to COACH so I can help other women find THEIR FIRE.

I get up to help my TEAM of coaches build their dreams... To help people and find financial freedom!

I get up so I can get what I need DONE early....... So I can spend more time with my adventurous children and amazing husband!!

Ask yourself...... What DREAM makes my heart fill with a FIRE so HOT Id wake up and walk through a blizzard everyday for it?!?

DARE to write that dream down. Dare to GO AFTER IT!! And when you DARE to DREAM DAILY?? You'll get your booty out of bed!!!!

Best Zucchini EVER




I ended up growing some mega MONSTER zucchini in my garden this year!!!

I've put it in sauces, soups,
Roasted it, made it into noodles...

But this is by FAR my favorite way to eat it!!!

Grilled!!!  

Seriously.... just slice 

Add some Cajun seasoning....

And....GRILL on the BBQ!!!

Seriously!! I could eat these every day!!

My poor husband is gonna have to fire up the grill every night untill I run out of Zucchini !! 

Having a garden has been the most FUN and DELICIOUS blessing!!!!

Shake-It-Up Guilt-Free Cheesecake!!

Nothing is better than guilt free cheesecake!!! 

Am I right!!??

Shakeology people!!! It's your new BFF!!!

Shake-It-Up cheesecake


1 scoop Shakeology (I used strawberry)


1 cup Greek yogurt (plain non-fat)

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 banana

1/2 graham cracker

How to make it:


1. Mix Shakeology + vanilla + yogurt

2. Put it in a "kids sized" or small bowl!
(Metal or plastic is best)

3. Top it with sliced banana and crumbled cracker.

4. Freeze for about 30 minutes till semi firm

5. Place in bowl of hot water to melt the edges

6. Flip it!!! Tap it to come out or use a knife if you have 


trouble (or are impatient like me!!!)

7. Top with remaining banana!! (Or try a little peanut butter

if it's chocolate or vanilla Shakeology...)

8. Devour and smile!!

End of Summer Shakeology Frozen Yogurt

Oh dear... I'm in frustrating mandated 'rest mode' with this bum shoulder. If not being able to workout hard makes me want to do anything it's EAT!! But, I choose to focus on my nutrition and commit to heal and not be so hard on myself.


I ate GREAT today!! And instead of caving into ice cream on a hot Summer day I made Shakeology Frozen Yogurt instead! This stuff is so good I even caught my toddler red handed with her fingers in it while it was freezing. Try it out for yourself:

Shakeology Frozen Yogurt

2 cups plain Greek yogurt
2 Tbsp vanilla
1 Tbsp natural peanut butter
1/2 of a ripe banana
1/2 cup chocolate Shakeology

Put it all in a blender and blend until smooth. Put in freezer until soft/frozen and enjoy!!

Try it with a drizzle of peanut butter on top (or with a little whipped cream if you must!).

Kids & Fresh Garden Pesto



My kids are OBSESSED with spaghetti squash... and lucky for them it has taken over our garden!! We also have some tasty cherry tomatoes growing so I whipped up a fresh Cherry Tomato Pesto to put on our baked spaghetti squash and tilapia.

I'm figuring out that my kids get soooo excited to eat things that they GREW themselves and that makes for happy kids and a happy Mama!! #veggiesforthewin




This pesto is so versatile and so EASY to make. Here is the recipe: 

Cherry Tomato Pesto

1 cup baby spinach

1 1/2 cups Fresh Basil

1 1/2 cups cherry or grape tomatoes

2 tbsp Olive oil

2 cloves garlic Blend!!! Stir in 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese! You can heat it slowly on low heat till warm or serve it room temperature!!!

But what if I FAIL?!

Happy Monday everyone!! We made it to Utah safe and sound and are excited to spend a few days here. I almost forgot how AMAZING these mountains are. 

The past few years have been A LOT of hard work. They have not been many tears shed and sweat and hard work put into reaching our goals. We're not quite there yet but we have made so much progress together. And you know what the best part is? We have FAILED along the way.


Wait, did I just say that was the BEST part?? Yep, I sure did!!  No matter how dedicated we are to our goals or how self motivated we are it is nearly impossible to completely avoid the 'F' word: failure.

Failure can shape and motivate us and we might even find that things end up working out better than we ever could have imagined. Michael Jordan said, "I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." What a great attitude to have!!

The End of Gas station protein bars!!!

We are road trippin' this weekend!!!  I have a tendency to grab a protein bar from the gas station ....and they aren't as healthy as they seem!!! Loaded with sugar...preservatives and who know what else.  And they don't even taste good.

The end. Not doing it this time!

I hate being on vacation and feeling like crap!!

So I'm packing pre cut veggies, nuts, hard boiled eggs in a little cooler...and these Shakeology wonder bars!!! I may have had a little more "help" in the kitchen than I needed....but I figure a little toddler ❤️ love mixed in can't hurt 😄

Introducing....
Shakeology wonder brownie bars!!!
Yes..they really taste like Brownies.  You're welcome! 

157 calories
14 g  carbs
11 G protein
6 g sugar 
5 g fat 

Packed with Super foods (already in Shakeology) make it a fast, easy, nutrient dense roadtrip wonder!!!!


Recipe
1 scoop (or packet) chocolate Shakeology
1/4 cup oats
1 tsp honey
1 tbsp powdered peanut butter (PB 2)
3 tbsp coconut milk
2 tbsp non sweetened shredded coconut
1/2 tsp vanilla 

1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl (excluding 1 tbsp coconut) 

2. press into a "bar shape" and then sprinkle both sides with the remaining coconut!! 

3. Cut bar into 2 halves!!! 

4. Just make a few batches, freeze in a Baggie, grab n go!!!!

Perfect Pre-prepped Chicken



Want to know my secret?!?? 

I make the easiest chicken ever!!!  It makes life so much easier when you are busy and throwing meals together!!!  It's the PERFECT Pre-prepped Chicken!!

Want to know what's in it!!?

3 ingredients.  Yep...3!!

I even made a video about it with no make up from my messy kitchen..cause that's how I roll!!!

Awesome right?!  Prep chicken once...use it all week!!! #awesome

Here's an example!!!

The other night I was craving my moms "Aroz con Pollo"
(That's chicken and rice in Spanish) 

I Didn't have time to make her "original recipe" so.....I used my perfect pre prepped chicken and created a faster, easier, healthier version!!

Who would have thought of that?!

Introducing 
Creamy Chicken and Rice 
A la RockitMOMfitness 

Ingredients :
2 pouches seeds of Change Organic Rice and Quinoa
2 cups Organic Chicken Broth
1 medium yellow onion -chopped
1 cup Organic baby carrots chopped
2 cup pre prepped chicken -diced
3/4 cup plain greek yogurt 
1 tbsp Butter

Intructions :
Sauté onions and carrots in butter untill carrots are "semi soft"

Add in rice, broth, and chicken 

Simmer 5-7 minutes on medium heat 

Turn off heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes.

Stir in greek yogurt! (If you stir it in when its too hot it gets clumpy!) 

Sprinkle with parsley flakes (super fancy!!) and Serve immediately!!




Now the real test is will the KIDS eat it!!??

Well...his bowl was empty enough to put on his head!!! My 5 yr old deems this recipe #kidapproved!! 



Sigh. Happy faces..happy tummies...happy mommy!!

How to get up early....And get your workout in!!!





As a mom of 4 getting a workout in can be a bit of a circus!!!! You know what I mean...kid hanging on your leg song and dance juggling act!??  Did you see my CIZE video they other day!!!?  Exactly! But Sometimes you just gotta fit it in anywhere you can!! 

Yet, I have learned (after much experience) that I am a much happier mom if I get up and get in my workout early. It saves my sanity ...and amplifies my patience! #truth

Yes...sometimes getting up early means I don't get a ton of sleep.  Sure there are days I miss my early wake up call if I need to catch up...usually after traveling, or being sick, or multiple nights with kids up all night.  
But honestly...after becoming a mom of 4...endless nights of lost sleep... I realzed that even on night the kids don't get up...I WORRY about my kids in my sleep!!! 

It's just never going to be perfect!!!! 
I'm never going to be perfectly rested....ever. 

So here are some of the things I have learned do to that help ME just get up ..and get it done!!!!

1. Alarm!!!! Set it...far far away from you!!!

Set your alarm .....and put it across the room!!! I mean waaaaay out of reach of the sleepy snooze snatch.  (You know what I'm talking about!!  That arm that flails around in the dark and smacks the phone till it shuts up!!)
   Tip:  If you have to get OUT of bed to turn it off...you've already greatly increased your chances of not pressing snooze!! Bonus!

I have 2 alarms depending on what workout I have planned. If I'm running and lifting ...I get up earlier.  If I'm just doing a shorter workout like INSANITY max : 30... I sleep in....a whole half hour!!!

The other alarms are to wake my kids up for school!!....which also gives me a good visual reminder that this is my time for me!! So the clock is ticking. No time to waste!!! Get up and GO!!!!

2. Headphones in.....Brain on!!!




Once that alarm goes off ...my brain is awake. I remind myself that even if I try to go back to sleep....it's not the same kind of deep sleep anyway.  Right?!! Sleeping when you know your snooze is going off in T-7 minutes just makes me anticipate the alarm.  So..just get up!  
 
As soon as I'm up I put in my headphones and listen to a personal development book!!  It focuses my BRAIN and my ATTITUDE!! (Because attitude matters..at least that's what I preach to my kids!! 😜)

You can play your favorite music, audiobook or podcast.  Even YouTube has tons of motivational videos!!!! 
Learn to start your day by growing your brain...even if your body is slow to get moving!!  

3. Zip it!!!
I hate being cold!!!!  So I always dress in layers!!!  Get up and get dressed!!!!!  Layers warm you up so you don't get the urge to crawl back into your warm bed!!!

This almost always includes a hat!!! You loose most your heat from your head!!! Just a heads up!!  So zip up, hat on..and you'll warm up faster!

4. Pick up you QUICK me Up!!!! 


I never feel great working out hard on an empty stomach!!!  So find something the gives you a quick boost!!!

For me it's usually E&E (energy and endurance) mixed in my water and 1/2 a banana for a boost of vitamins, natural sugar and yes...caffeine #yawn!!!
  Other people love to start their day with a cup of cofee!!!  Find what works for you!!! 

Make it a habit!!  Your brain and your body will quickly get accustomed to your ritual signals that mean "GO" 

5. Find a workout you love!!!! 💜💜💜



 I don't care what it is....there IS a workout out there that you can enjoy!!!  
And if you LOVE it...you're more likely to get up and DO IT!! 

Maybe it's just walking!!! Walk for 10 minutes before you get into more intense cardio or start weight training. Starting with what you LOVE first will get you moving and kickstart your fitness routine. 

For me personally..I love to lift.  So on dark Oregon mornings...I LIFTHEAVY with Body beast then add in my cardio when the sun comes up.  

The trick is finding something you look FORWARD to!!!  
Do you love to Dance? Lift Weights?? Go Running?!? 

There is something you can love ....and call it a workout!!!! I call it your "soul mate workout" 

Need help finding your "soul mate workout" ?!!!  Let me know!!!.... I've pretty much tried them ALL!! 

Last one.....

6. Walk Each Step in Gratitude! 

I've been working hard on this one!!!  What if every step we took we repeated in our mind something we were grateful for!!  
Hard?!?  Maybe at first.  But the more you practice..the more things you start to find !!  Like the little freckles accross your little boys nose.... Or the way the dew shimmers on the grass in the early morning.

Gratitude in each step...for everything good, and beautiful in your life, will set you in the mindset to have a great day...everyday.  

It doesn't just motivate you to get your workout in...but helps you see that the ability you HAVE to workout, to be healthy, to be ALIVE is a gift!!!

Walk every step by repeating in your mind something to be grateful for...and your life becomes so FULL of joy...that you can't wait to get upbraid GO!!!
